Our Nativity
For our family nativity, Drake was Joseph and Addie was Mary. They looked cute but I am not real sure that Drake was too thrilled with the whole thing. Addie makes a very cute Mary. Calvin was a shepard and he really took his part seriously. He looks so sweet and so focused. That's Calvin! Our angel, was played by Caleb. He too really got into his part. These kids are what it is all about. Not only do they do a great job but they also bring the spirit of Christmas to our home!

A Christmas Wish
Christmas is my most favorite time of year. I love everything about it and most of all I love all the family time we get to spend together. Today I was thinking of my brothers Judd and Jordan who are away from our family this holiday serving the Lord. What great examples of service and dedication to something most families are looking for this holiday season. What a blessing to be sharing the Gospel with those who seek to know the truth. If you haven't already take a second and wish them well this holiday as they serve in New York and Nebraska I am certain they would love to get mail. We love you Judd and Jordan. Merry Christmas.

Meet Cheryl Grey
Halloween adventures
So here are some pictures of the weekend. The first picture is my costume. Just have Taylor look at this one and see if he can tell what we are. I am the blue one. Elder Schmidt is not in the picture becuase he was talking on the phone at the time, but he was a red ninja. Sister Clark sure is nice for making these for us! The next is a picture of the cookies that I got. They may not look good, but they were delicous.

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!
If you know our Mom and Dad then you know why the Richardson kids feel so lucky. We seriously have great parents. They are such great examples of what marriage should be.
If I had to list some of the things that first come to mind when I think of my parents this is what it would be:
Saturday morning garage sales
Hot chocolate, warm blankets and slippers (okay, so it's Dad's treat to Mom)
Andy Griffith
A home that is warm and inviting- open to everyone
Loud cars
Fun vacations
Service and sacrafice- you can't have 10 kids without a lot of that.
Suburbans- I think they've owned 5 in my lifetime

Tortillas from Superior
Vernon
Family prayer and scripture study- they never miss!
Love of family
Support for each other and their kids
Chips and salsaSpeaking Double Dutch to each other to be sneaky but some how we were always able to pick out "Dairy Queen"
Sunday rides
Tetris competitions
Those are just a few of the things I think about when I think of Mom and Dad. But most importantly, they are wonderful companions to each other and great parents to their kids.
We love you, Mom and Dad!

Dancing Queen
Yesterday Kennedy started her ballet class. She was so excited to wear the ballet shoes and the dress that I wondered if she would really even like class. I was a little worried when I took her to class thinking she would cry. She hates nursery, refuses to go to pre-school and will only stay with a handful of people when I need a sitter.
When we got to class she ran into the studio and never looked back. I knew from previous experiences that it's never that easy. When I went to pick her up her teacher said she did great until the last little part. Then she was looking for me and didn't want to participate anymore. Little stinker. But, her teacher says keep her in class it's good for her and she will get the hang of it. So for now we are keeping her in but you may want to check back this is a To Be Continued.

Got Milk?
While Kobie and Jared were with Addie and Marlene in California I had the privilege of keeping Kimber (who by the way really is my child) for a few days. To be honest, even though this may break Kobies heart she never asked for her or Jared. I guess we just kept busy so she wouldn't have time to be sad.
One of the days Briana asked us to join her at Superstition Farms for their free farm tour. There were all kinds of booths and animals for the kids to see. Kennedy loved the goat's. Why would she love the goats after experiencing the crazy goat at grandma and grandpas?
The American Dairy Association gave free milk to everyone and Kennedy and Kimber loved the chocolate milk. I don't think that carton ever left Kimber's face until it was gone.
Kimber got a kick out of poking the bunnies and laughing. As soon as she put her finger in there she laughed and pulled it out as fast as she could. There was another mom standing near by who informed me that "bunnies sometimes bite" like I was forcing Kimber to do it for my own enjoyment. Needless to say we came home with all our fingers!

Photo tag
A friend of mine photo tagged me so I am passing this along. The game is simple just take photos of the following things. Then tag another! Kobie & Briana I tag you first!!
1. A photo of what your child(ren) are doing at this very moment. As soon as Kennedy saw me get the camera she was on the search for her own camera. But she had just finished helping me make banana bread.
2. Your favorite kitchen item. I love my Kitchen Aid. I have had it years now and its the best thing. Anytime Kennedy hears that thing going she is on her way to the counter with a spoon and a chair. It's flattering she always assumes its delicious.
3. Favorite pair of shoes. Has to be my Roxy sandals. I wear flip flops year round I cant help myself they are so comfy. Would you die if I told you they were $38? Come on I get my money out of my sandals. Just ask Kobie she has seen me wear them in the snow for pitty sake.
4. A photo of me. Yup, that's me and might I add 18 pounds lighter! Lots of hard work went into that people. I love that I can wear all my pre-child clothes again. It's like having a new wardrobe.

Happy Birthday Annie!
I can't believe Annie is 13! That's how old I was when she was born! I wanted a little sister SO bad for SO long. When she was born and they told me it was a girl it was honestly one of the most exciting moments of my life. I am so happy she is part of our family. Everyone loves Annie. Here are 13 reasons why we think she is so awesome!
1- She is the greatest Aunt ever.
2- She has more style than any of us Richardson girls did at her age.
3- She is very giving.
4- She is always fun to talk to.
5- She can make some killer cinnamon rolls.
6- She is always ready for a good time.
7- She is a good student.
8- She plays the piano really well.
9- She is so dang cute!
10- She let me drag her around when she was little and never complained.
11- She is a wonderful babysitter.
12- She keeps her room freakishly neat.
13- She is a GREAT sister.
We love you Annie! Happy Birthday!

Biking for Jesus
Oh man this guy has to be the most interesting person I have met on my mission. He went homeless and then he "found Jesus" I think he won this bike and so now he rides around America and he helps homesless people and helps them find Christ. He is so very nice. We bump into him every now and then and so this time I had to take a picture.
YES that is a Harley-Davidson and its also the 100 year annaversary edition. He is doing what I would LOVE to do!

Grandparent's Day
Grandparent's Day was last week at the boy's school. Caleb and Carson both wrote essays on their grandparents. Caleb wrote on Grandma and Grandpa Richardson. They wanted to invite them to the school that day, but Grandpa was in Alaska and Grandma was teaching school. So I thought that I would post his essay.
"My grandma's name is Sheila and my grandpa's name is Russell. My grandpa is always smiling. I have never seen him not smiling. When he's not smiling he's laughing. My grandma teaches first grade. She is so nice and a good teacher. My grandma and grandpa have ten kids. I've always thought about how many that is.
My grandma and grandpa taught me how to shoot a gun. Like a 22 and a shot gun. I am really good at shooting targets. Grandpa taught me how to cook too. I love to go camping with him. And when we do we always bring a gun and shoot. It is so fun.
I have always loved shooting with my grandparents. I like to shoot with a 22 and a shot gun. I love to go camping and so does my grandpa. When I become a Weblo scout I will teach other scouts how to shoot. I love to shoot and so does my grandpa and grandma."

Proud Grandparents!
At Last!
My dream has finally come true! I have been driving a very sweet Chrysler 300. When I drive to school I try and arrive when the most people can see me and then I give a little accidental honk so they will look. What more could I ask for. Well, dreams don't last forever, and my dream (car) is going back to the rental company tomorrow. Sigh! It was fun while it lasted.

Reader discretion advised
Let me start by saying I apologize to any readers of this posting who may be offended by what I have to say or currently drive a mini-van. This is in no way intended to hurt you!! So, if you feel you may be offended stop reading now. But you know curiosity will get the best of you.
And so...I love my Toyota 4 Runner. It has been a great purchase and I love driving it. Since we bought it brand new I have taken great pride in keeping it clean and well maintained. I decided it was time to take it in to the dealership for just a scheduled maintenance. They assured me they had a loaner available so I wouldn't be without a car for the day.
When we were all set a rep walked me over the the counter to pick up the loaner. The gal behind the desk looked at me and said "I am sorry all we have a mini-vans" for a second I almost considered taking the shuttle! But, I had things to do and decided to just go for it. I couldn't stop laughing when I got in and drove away. Kennedy even commented "this car is ugly" with no provoking from me. I am just not a mini-van gal. I have always said I will NEVER own a mini-van. Kobie thought it was hilarious and a good form of punishment for me. Note: she drives a 4 door Ford Diesel Truck!
I had to go over to grandmas house and Brigham was home from school. He asked me where my car was and joking I told him we traded it in and got a van. He said "alright, but it just doesn't seem like you" see even my family agrees.
When I had to go to Office Max I parked kind of far so I wouldn't have to claim the van when it came time to leave. Thank heaven at the end of the day I can pick up my 4 Runner. Why is it when mom gets a loaner she gets a Chrysler 300 and I get a van!!
