a FAST update~

heres some silly pics of my past week

A Very Happy Birthday!

Here are a few pictures from the Birthday festivities...

The pinata was a big hit...literally.
Calvin and Grandpa had some presents to open.
The biggest present of the night was...the bike.
Happy Birthday to Calvin and Grandpa!

More Graduation Pictures...

I was just going through my pictures and I thought that I would post a few more pictures of Mom's Graduation...better late than never, right?

This picture is taken of Brigham over the bridge that goes over University. We had to walk up and over the bridge since he will be going to ASU someday...
At the party Caleb and Carson surprised us all by dedicating a song to Grandma and then singing "You Raise Me Up" by Josh Groban. They are a whole lot braver than I am and they actually sounded really good!

Richardson Family Reunion

This weekend was our annual Anthon & Barbara Richardson Family Reunion. Heather and I were talking this weekend trying to figure out how many years this has been going on. We actually have no idea and couldn't figure it out because it started before we were even born! Here are a few pictures. So much goes on that it's hard to get pictures of everything but here's a few extremely random and very poorly described tid-bits.

Grandma and Grandpa before Church

It's hard to explain, but this is our family's train. Yes, a train. It makes smoke, has a whistle and everything. Basically the only thing that doesn't make it a train is the fact that it has wheels and doesn't need tracks. It can seriously go 65+ mph! You sort of have to see it to believe it. Two years ago we entered it into the Snowflake 24th of July parade and won the Spirit of Family award. We loaded that thing up with almost 100 family members! No one could believe what they saw. Each year since the parade committee has called Grandpa and asked him if he would re-enter. It's SO much work so maybe we'll do it again another year.

Kimber loves shoes! You can barely tell but she is wearing Heather's in this picture. Excuse Addie's head, by the way.

Even Page got into the spirit of camping! Saturday was pretty cold so Heather and Doug put a jacket on her. In this picture Kimber wanted to look out the window and decided to get a little help from Page. She didn't seem to mind at all.

Kennedy with a mouth full of candy showing off her "I am a Child of God" necklace, which she refuses to take off. It could be worse, right?

Soren taking a spin on Addie's Barbie trike.

My girls were both asleep as soon as we pulled out of the gate- it was such a fun, but very exhausting weekend.

I feel a panic attack coming on!

I knew this day would finally come. I've known it for 6 years now and have been lucky enough to avoid it. I have to admit it wasn't as painful as I thought it would be, but it still hurts.
This is our lovely new piece of....something.

Jared caught this beauty in Alaska a long time ago. My sweet mother-in-law nicely told us to get it out of her house (can you blame her?) and since then it has been living outside in storage- right where I like it. But today I felt really nice and told Jared he could FINALLY hang it. Every time I would go out there and have to walk by it I scooch as far away from it as I could so I wouldn't accidentally touch it. It gives me the heebie-jeebies.

It now hangs above my computer armoire and to be honest I think it will be limiting the amount of time I spend on the computer. I feel all panicked because I'm afraid it might fall off the wall right into my lap. Yikes, I gotta go!

Give me a break!

If you live in Arizona then you know what I mean when I say this week has been so hot! It was 95 degrees at my house the last few days. (I know, that is nothing compared to the temperatures in the valley... but give me a break people!) Little did I know when I got dressed in my shorts this morning that the high is 55 degrees today! I decided to change and put on a jacket before heading to the bank- and I'm glad I did. What is going on??? It's 36 degrees outside right now! Why can't winter just leave summer alone? Gosh!

You mean YOU don't vacuum your kitchen?

Wait, I don't either anymore!
Enjoy these before and after pictures!

Here is our To Do List for the kitchen:

(In no particular order.)

New Stools, those are so hideous!!!!

(Yes, there are three in one picture and two in another. I used one to set my paint on while painting the laundry room the other day. That's how much I care about them.)

New curtains, hideous as well

New counter tops, need I say hideous?

Wainscot under the counter, by the stools (that will happen in the next day or two)
Paint that black

Paint the cabinets black

New appliances

Does it ever end?

I also painted the laundry room on Tuesday. After I get the cabinets all painted and the curtains made I will post pictures of that as well.

I love this picture of Travis and Allie!

I'm pretty sure Drake is one of the coolest kids I know. These are his new blue shades. I noticed they weren't a replacement though as he was wearing the old ones the next day. (FYI, he has been wearing those glasses for 4 months now!)
