Dr. Richardson

To celebrate Ben's first official day of medical school we had a little party. When I say little I mean 16 people, chili dogs, potato salad, watermelon, chips, pasta salad, corn on the cob and homemade ice cream. We had a good time and we are all excited for Ben!

Who you calling a momma's boy?

Grandpa went to great lengths to get the pool cleaned out and filled so the grand kids could enjoy it tonight at the party. Low and behold just before the party began the summer monsoon's hit. At least they still got to get wet!

Baby Love

So we can't help but love baby Cooper! The newest addition to the Richardson family. Cooper makes 11 grandchildren.

My Redneck Woman

After Addie's nap today she wanted a cookie. (A new recipe you girls would like!) Apparently she enjoyed it. Take a look for yourself.

If you could use a little "Redneckness" in your life follow this recipe:

1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups quick cooking oats
1-1/2 cups flour
1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the oats, flour, pudding mix, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.

Oh, my little angles

Fam Jam Suggestions

So, what do you think of our playlist? Somehow almost all of the music is Dad's music, but that is what we like! I have tried to add some good songs and have even had a few suggestions, but you know how our family is with music. We could always use more! Mom asked for me to add "Home" by Michael Buble and Jordan has given a few recommendations. Jared has even added some of his own. I can get almost anything. So if there is a song you think would be good, let me know!

What the?

Bethany and I took a little walk to the river. It was cool. The jungle is so crazy. It makes me want to chop through it with Taylor and our machette. Well anyways Bethany asked me to be in some of the pictures I was taking. She said mom likes it better that way. And if you know me I can't take a picture seriouly because I hate getting my picture taken!

What's for dinner?

At our hosue we all know that if Kennedy is quiet something isn't right. From using a sharpie marker on the cabinets in the kitchen to dumping an entire bag of Cheeto's on the coffee table for a snack she can find troubel anywhere. This time she decided to eat my notary stamp. Little stinker!

Who's that man?

Last weekend was the Evans 6th annual Family Camp Out. We camped near Greens Peak and it was beautiful. Doug always gets a silly sense about him when we camp and thought it would be funny to hide his face in the photo. Kennedy and I only covered our heads because it was cold.

For your enjoyment...

So I have added a few things to help your visit to our blog be a little more enjoyable. A little music for your listening pleasure as well as a poll. I just got a letter from Judd today and he said that he thinks he will be getting a new companion soon, but will be ever leave Norton?
By the way, if you have any song suggestions, let me know!!!
PS- Travis, the Marty Robbins is for you! Are you the one that is always singing it? Maybe I'm wrong.

Is that Judd or Jordan?

Judd stood in the same place 6 months ago. We found his name in the guest book. Jordan really looks like a soldier.

Fort Shirley

We saw a snake, crabs, and lizards at this cool fort. I thought of Uncle Garth when I was hiking and looking at all of the rocks. This place is so cool. It feels like a big sauna though.

Jaws

Mom,

I got him to do it and here is proof! He only screamed and ran out of the water once! (He didn't know I heard him.) And, no sharks. Only one star fish with two arms practically cut off.

Jordan The Dominican

This is one of the beautiful views that I get to see here! I went snorkeling and saw fish and crabs in that water. It was tons of fun. I will have more pictures later on but I thought that this one would be good to rub in everyone's face that I am here!

Just to add a little something...

I just wanted to add a few pictures of the family to add, so it looks like we actually have something on our blog. These are just a few that I could find. They made me laugh! Sweet lipstick Travy! Nice tights Heather! Can I borrow then for Church next Sunday?

Welcome Family!

Here it is! I hope our family is able to enjoy this. Since we are all over the place (or should I say world?) this should be a good way to keep in touch. Like I said in the e-mail to everyone, there are lots of things that we can do. It should be fun!
