My top five

Here are five little things you may or may not know about me.

1. Jell-O is the sickest thing ever created. It makes me gag.
2. I have a phobia of raw chicken. I am SO careful when dealing with it. I don't touch it, even if I am cutting it up- I use tongs. The saying at our house is, "Dry chicken is better than undercooked chicken." Don't worry, it's rarely dry and never undercooked!
3. I played the flute in 5th grade.
4. Jared and I have a secret obsession with Monopoly (the Here and Now Edition) and with Super Nintendo. We have been known to stay up way too late playing both of them. We have finished Super Mario Brothers 3 in one night and Monopoly (the never ending game) in another.
5. Now this is ridiculous, but my current favorite show, if I get the chance to watch it is Biggest Loser.
I am adding a 6th and 7th just because:
6. Some of you know this already, but Kimber's current sleeping quarters is in the pantry. (Don't worry, it's actually a really big pantry.) She has to learn to sleep through the night before I put her in with Addie. Plus, she is a disgustingly light sleeper that I am not willing to have her wake up every time Addie moves. (I am happy to report that she is waking up just once, maybe twice a night!!! If she would get over her pickiness and eat better during the day I would feel better about just letting her cry.)
7. There are days in the summer were we won't go out at all. Sometimes it is two days before we go out. The wind blows in a nasty way, like 60 MPH.

So you think you know me?

So, I saw on a fellow bloggers site a cute little pass along I thought would be fun for our family to do as well. So excuse the copy-cat syndrome. But, I thought this could be fun to find out some interesting things about each other we may not already know.
I am tagging Kobie next for this so keep it going.
1. I cant sleep at night unless my closet and bathroom door are completely closed. Hey someone could be in there!!
2. I also cant sleep unless I have a body pillow on the side of the bed. I think for some reason this makes me feel like I am safe from danger or anyone in my closet or bathroom :)
3. I have really little toe nails. Every time I get a pedicure they always say "I am just going to file these a little instead of clipping them"
4. I hate to fold laundry. I would rather leave it in the dryer for days and just turn it on as I need something.
5. I used to LOVE Pearl Jam to death. If you need proof just look at the imprint in the sidewalk at mom and dads that says I love PJ. I cried when Mom and Dad wouldn't let me go the concert with Jenna. Thank Heaven!! I hate them now. I cant even stand to listen to their music.

You take your eyes off of her for a second and...

It doesn't take Kimber long to get into mischief. If she is quiet for more than a few minutes I know something is up. Here are a few of her latest adventures.

One of her new favorite places to play, under the bathroom sink. Totally in the cupboard and with the door shut.

Emptying out the pots and pans. I don't know what the difference is, but she doesn't like the door shut in the kitchen cupboards. I think i should mention I am not the one that shuts the door on her.

Cruising in the laundry cart. Okay, I put her in here, but the girls love to get a ride.

Chowing on a cookie she snaked from Addie. Once she was done with it it was ALL over her face and shirt.

This is today. She emptied these two drawers and this is where I found her. Not to mention, when she does empty the drawers she does it just like a burglar would do if he were robbing us.

Luckily I was standing nearby when this happened. She was getting ready to stand in the bottom drawer.
This one just makes me laugh. This is the sweet "Grandpa Munster do" she woke up with yesterday after her nap. You might want to make the picture big to get the point.

By the way- I need a new camera, can you tell?

Bubble Trouble

Sometimes the funnest part of being an aunt is seeing your kids play with your siblings kids. What a thought!!

Last night I had the pleasure of keeping Addie and Kimber for Kobie. The girls always like to take a bath and have fun doing it. They always cry when I get them out. Kimber was sad she couldn't get in with the girls bud did a good job as lifeguard!

So Cute...

This was taken right before we started our Nativity. Don't they look cute!

The Nativity

Here are a few pictures of our Nativity. I know I'm a little late with these, but better late than never! Ashton was Joseph and Addie was Mary. They played their parts nicely.
Calvin was the angel and Caleb, Carson and Brigham were Shepards. They all really got into their parts as well.
Here is our sweet Mary.

Zoo Adventures

Thinking it would be a great way to spend some time together as a family this weekend I conviced Doug that we should take Kennedy to the zoo.

Lets just start by saying my child is very stong spirited...hm wonder where she got that. She wouldnt stay in the stroller for anything and wanted to run and see everything. Not to mention it was all we could do to keep her out of the animal exhibits!!

She may have had a good time but Doug and I took a nap when we got home.

Paying it Forward

My cute friend Raygon did a really cute thing on her blog, a "Pay it Forward" contest. I was fortunate enough be a winner so as promised I am carrying it on.

Just leave a comment and in a few days I will randomly pick three winner and send them a little sumthin'. Yes, all of my family can participate and even my family's friends that I may not know. If you are a lucky winner be sure to keep the contest going! It will be fun!

Nice Shades!

Well, Drake has been wearing these sunglasses for about 4 days. Even the serious Dominican's can't keep a straight face when they see him. He wears them everywhere! (And, by the way, I do comb my hair everyday. I just happened to be cleaning when we took this photo!)

Vroom, Vroom!

This is Dad in a transport! Doesn't
he look cool? And, yes he made
best friends out of every driver!

Please Don't Leave Me!

Isn't this a great family?
I especially like that ASU shirt!
And, Kobie, this is where I live.
The balcony on the right is mine.

Annie's New Hairdo

Thanks Annie for being my guinea pig!
Love,
Beth

Happy Birthday Ben & Jordan

For those that my read this blog and not know Ben and Jordan share the same birthday. Ben just turned the big 30 and Jordan 19. We celebrated their birthdays with a surprise party planned and hosted by Briana. She did a great job and it sure was fun to get together and celebrate.

Happy birthday Ben our wise older brother who always makes us laugh and never ceases to amaze us with his abilities.

Happy birthday Jordan, you have become a wonderful young man and we are so proud of you and your desire to serve a mission. You will be a great missionary.

Taylor's Daring Jump

Here is a still photo of Taylor jumping from the swing over Purple Turtle Beach. The kids loved jumping from the swing. Isn't the horizon beautiful? This was one of the funnest days we spent on the island. Below you can view a video of Taylor swinging from the same tree.

A View of the Horizon in Dominica

Here is a beautiful panoramic view of the Dominica horizon!
If you listen carefully you can hear music in the background.
It is the same type of music we heard everyday (especially in
transports). Enjoy!

Taylor

This is the very spot that Judd and Jordan also had their pictures taken on their trips to Dominica. I thought they might enjoy seeing Taylor in the same spot.

Cabrits

We spent an afternoon at Cabrits looking at the artifacts located there. It was quite a hike for Gram but she made it.

Church in Dominica

Sunday was a very special day. We attended the Dominica Branch. The spirit was so strong and the members were very friendly. We loved rubbing shoulders with all of them. Dad gave a very prophetic talk, and I shared my testimony. It was a wonderful experience for all of us.

Grandma Snorkels!

This is amazing! Here is our 78 year old grandma snorkeling at Purple Turtle Beach. Once she got the hang of it we couldn't slow her down. She can snorkel with the best of them.
