Kennedy's Christmas

Kennedy was such a blast this Christmas. She officaly has down opening presents and singing to Christmas music.
One of her gifts this year were some panties from her Grammy and Poppy. She loved them from the second she laid eyes on them and wanted to take off her clothes so she could wear them as seen in the photo.

Kennedy wanted to help everyone open their presents. This Christmas she came up with a great plan on how to get the candycane's off the tree. She got her little stool and would go to the tree stand on her stool and get what she wanted, then when I was in the shower and hide and eat them. I would only know because I would find wrappers around the house in odd places. But, it did make me laugh.

Privacy, Please

We have had some weirdos post a few comments on our blog so I think it's time we control who sees us. In a few days I am going to make this blog private. I am happy to send an invitation to anyone that asks. Just email me! Seriously, I am happy to send an invitation to anyone! Anyone we trust, that is.

Addie's Big Night

For anyone that doesn't know, Addie has been in a little choir class for the last few months. She has loved it! It has been really good for her, too. It has really helped her come out of her shell and most importantly, since her choir teacher was also her Nursery teacher, she has finally decided that Nursery is not that big of a deal.

After practicing every Tuesday for the last few months, tonight was her big night. They had the 2-3 year old class go first, a good idea, believe me. They brought them on stage at one end and Addie walked right off the other end, never stopping. Everyone laughed. They finally got her rounded up and started the concert. We showed up about 30 minutes early and still had to sit pretty far back, so the pictures and video aren't that great. The little girl in front of me kept moving her head right in the way, so sorry about that.

Here's Addie all ready to go.

I don't know what was up with this, but Addie kept her back turned to the crowd for the first part.

I swear that Addie went to choir, I just can't promise she paid any attention.

Happy Birthday Lou!

You are important to our family for so many reasons. Here are a few:

You always remind us of important dates and events.
You help us get clean and organized.
You are full of good ideas, whether it's for decorating or for dinner.
You are very thoughtful.
You are one of the funniest people that I know ("Daddy, daddy the lamb got away.")
My personal favorite, you are the absolute best labor coach EVER!

Like I said, just to name a few.

Happy Birthday!

My little Frankenstein

She walks! A little Frankenstein-ish, but she walks!

(Pardon the annoying bag noise in the background. I know how my family loves that.

Addie had Doritos and Kimber wanted some.)

Why I love Gram

Grandma checks the blog everyday to see if there is anything new. Well, today there is- just for you Gram!

Top 10 reasons I love my Grandma:

10: She used to let me clean out her Tupperware cupboard (which was always neat and organized) to earn $1. If I got lucky and all she had was a five she would give it to me and tell me that I did an extra good job.

9: She would stay up late with me when I spent the night to watch TGIF. She loved Urkel on
"Family Matters." I was all about Uncle Jesse on "Full House."

8: She would "dig" (only the family will understand that one) a bowl of vanilla ice cream and let me smother it in chocolate syrup.

7: She feeds her dog better than she feeds herself. Not really, but how many people do you know will fry up some hamburger for their dog?

6: She plays a mean game of Yahtzee. Add Phase 10, Skip Bo and Scrabble to that list.

5: She is always making a delish meal or dessert. She loves to try new things and we are never
disappointed.

4: She was always happy to see me when I unexpectedly showed up at her house during my lunch break for some yummy food.

3: She lets me use a fork for my asparagus. (Something only Gram and Heather will understand.)

2: She made Addie the most beautiful blessing dress and blanket. She was very sick for most of it, but worked hard to get it done. It is seriously gorgeous!

1: She is the kindest person you will ever know. We have to be careful when we tell her we like something because she will always say "you can have it, take it home." No matter how long you argue with her about it, she usually wins the argument.
Now can't you see why I love her so much?
For some reason it won't let me put a picture so see this Grandma I'm talking about click here and scroll down. She's the cute, white haired lady.

Brrrrrrr.....It's cold!

Okay, okay! I know that some would argue that we don't know what cold is, but it sure felt cold this morning. Here is Brigham sporting his scarf grandma made for him. He was very thankful for it today.

Queen Creek Old School

It seems just like yesterday we were only 13 the orange orchards were still in existence and the closest stop light was at Higley and Williams Field... those were the days. We have all grown up now and have children of our own, a crazy thought if you really think about it. But, after all these years we have managed to stay friends and connect when possible. Here are some photos of our most recent gathering. Are those not the cutest kids ever?

A Cute Little Stinker!

Thanksgiving always means family. So we are excited when Kobie and Jared and those beautiful girls come to visit. This picture above is Kobie and Kimber. The picture below is taken the same day right after Kobie put her pajamas on. Kimber is a very fast crawler and before anyone knew it, she crawled into the laundry room and was playing in the cat's water. The pictures don't do it justice, but she was soaked!

I Hope They Call Me On A Mission

Jordan officially received his Mission Call and opened it on Saturday. Everyone listened to him read his call. Jared and Bethany tuned in by cell phone (thanks to the power of speaker phones!) He's going...drumroll please...to the New York Rochester Mission and he leaves on February 20! We are so excited for him! He will make a wonderful missionary!

Our Sunday Best

After Church on Sunday I managed to get a picture of all the boys before they changed their clothes. (That was almost asking the impossible!) I just thought that they all looked so handsome! I couldn't help but laugh when Ashton asked before Church if it was "Suit Day".

What's for breakfast?

Every morning with in the first five minutes of waking Kennedy says to me "mommy eat" and heads to the pantry. Well, I am not a breakfast person so the thought of food first thing in the morning makes me sick. This particular morning I was going to just jump in the shower and then make her breakfast, even though she already asked for something to eat. When I got out of the shower and checked on her...well, lets just say the photos say it all.

I know my family will never believe this. If you know Doug at all you know he is a HUGE NASCAR fan!!! He loves the races and always begs me to either watch them with him or go to a race. But, who wants to watch a bunch of cars drive in a circle for hours? Plus, what fun can it be? Well, this weekend I experienced it first hand. NASCAR was at Phoenix International Raceway this weekend. Doug was so excited I was finally going to a race. Let me tell you it opened my eyes to a whole new world, the racing world. I have NEVER seen so many people at an event in my life. The photo shown above is from the race and it was packed. People bring RV's and camp for the weekend, it's unreal. Needless to say when they said "Gentlemen start your engines" and the 25 cars rev up it's loud, ear piercing loud. I LOVED IT!! We had awesome seats and we were right by pit row so we saw everything. We had scanners so you can tune into the racers and hear what they are saying to their crew. I didn't think I would like it but I think Doug has me hooked!! Check out the web for more of the race, come on I know you want to!! www.nascar.com

Hatch Family Happenings

So much has been going on that I decided to share a little with everyone.

For FHE one night we took the girls to a pumpkin patch. Addie loved it, Kimber spent the whole time sleeping in the truck. Here are a few pictures to document out outing....not that exciting and the pumpkins were WAY overpriced.

(Keep in mind that it was dark and therefore very hard to get any good pictures. Hence any off-centeredness and wandering eyes.)

Isn't this picture precious? I just love Grandma! We got to spend time with her and Grandpa at the Fall Festival at Cedar Ranch.

Sweet little Kimber, dressed as a zebra. She did great at the Trunk or Treat.

Her sister on the other hand...

This picture isn't even from Halloween. Every time I tried to get a picture of her on Halloween she would turn away. So I have her a few days and dressed her back up again. She had a cow! Hopefully next year is better...hopefully!

But she's funny, if she's in the mood to get a picture she can be so photogenic.

Since the weather has been unseasonably warm we have been able to spend lots of time outside. We had out little Indian guy, Guy Chee, cut down our grapevines a few weeks ago. It made for a sweet fire in the backyard!

Tasty Treat

Heather and I had our weekly Scrabble Game at the park. Kennedy was eating an oreo and this is how we found her. I think she really enjoyed her treat.

Happy BELATED Birthday Tater Bug!

Taylor, your silly sister forgot do a special birthday post for you on Friday.

But, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY anyway.

I wish I had a better picture but this one always makes me laugh- there you are mowing the lawn, all kicked back and wearing your moccasins.

Grandma Stanford bought Kennedy and Addie matching Sunday dresses. Addie's is pink and Kennedy's is red (so fitting for them). I promised Grandma that she would wear it today to church and I would take a picture and put it on the blog. Well Grandma this one is for you!! Kennedy looked so cute at church and all the ladies commented on how cute she looked.

A Kaleidescope Primary!

Alright, see the oldest black boy? He loves to hold his notes forever in singing time-it is hilarious! Isn't my boy handsome?
