Queen Creek Old School

It seems just like yesterday we were only 13 the orange orchards were still in existence and the closest stop light was at Higley and Williams Field... those were the days. We have all grown up now and have children of our own, a crazy thought if you really think about it. But, after all these years we have managed to stay friends and connect when possible. Here are some photos of our most recent gathering. Are those not the cutest kids ever?

A Cute Little Stinker!

Thanksgiving always means family. So we are excited when Kobie and Jared and those beautiful girls come to visit. This picture above is Kobie and Kimber. The picture below is taken the same day right after Kobie put her pajamas on. Kimber is a very fast crawler and before anyone knew it, she crawled into the laundry room and was playing in the cat's water. The pictures don't do it justice, but she was soaked!

I Hope They Call Me On A Mission

Jordan officially received his Mission Call and opened it on Saturday. Everyone listened to him read his call. Jared and Bethany tuned in by cell phone (thanks to the power of speaker phones!) He's going...drumroll please...to the New York Rochester Mission and he leaves on February 20! We are so excited for him! He will make a wonderful missionary!

Our Sunday Best

After Church on Sunday I managed to get a picture of all the boys before they changed their clothes. (That was almost asking the impossible!) I just thought that they all looked so handsome! I couldn't help but laugh when Ashton asked before Church if it was "Suit Day".

What's for breakfast?

Every morning with in the first five minutes of waking Kennedy says to me "mommy eat" and heads to the pantry. Well, I am not a breakfast person so the thought of food first thing in the morning makes me sick. This particular morning I was going to just jump in the shower and then make her breakfast, even though she already asked for something to eat. When I got out of the shower and checked on her...well, lets just say the photos say it all.

I know my family will never believe this. If you know Doug at all you know he is a HUGE NASCAR fan!!! He loves the races and always begs me to either watch them with him or go to a race. But, who wants to watch a bunch of cars drive in a circle for hours? Plus, what fun can it be? Well, this weekend I experienced it first hand. NASCAR was at Phoenix International Raceway this weekend. Doug was so excited I was finally going to a race. Let me tell you it opened my eyes to a whole new world, the racing world. I have NEVER seen so many people at an event in my life. The photo shown above is from the race and it was packed. People bring RV's and camp for the weekend, it's unreal. Needless to say when they said "Gentlemen start your engines" and the 25 cars rev up it's loud, ear piercing loud. I LOVED IT!! We had awesome seats and we were right by pit row so we saw everything. We had scanners so you can tune into the racers and hear what they are saying to their crew. I didn't think I would like it but I think Doug has me hooked!! Check out the web for more of the race, come on I know you want to!! www.nascar.com

Hatch Family Happenings

So much has been going on that I decided to share a little with everyone.

For FHE one night we took the girls to a pumpkin patch. Addie loved it, Kimber spent the whole time sleeping in the truck. Here are a few pictures to document out outing....not that exciting and the pumpkins were WAY overpriced.

(Keep in mind that it was dark and therefore very hard to get any good pictures. Hence any off-centeredness and wandering eyes.)

Isn't this picture precious? I just love Grandma! We got to spend time with her and Grandpa at the Fall Festival at Cedar Ranch.

Sweet little Kimber, dressed as a zebra. She did great at the Trunk or Treat.

Her sister on the other hand...

This picture isn't even from Halloween. Every time I tried to get a picture of her on Halloween she would turn away. So I have her a few days and dressed her back up again. She had a cow! Hopefully next year is better...hopefully!

But she's funny, if she's in the mood to get a picture she can be so photogenic.

Since the weather has been unseasonably warm we have been able to spend lots of time outside. We had out little Indian guy, Guy Chee, cut down our grapevines a few weeks ago. It made for a sweet fire in the backyard!

Tasty Treat

Heather and I had our weekly Scrabble Game at the park. Kennedy was eating an oreo and this is how we found her. I think she really enjoyed her treat.

Happy BELATED Birthday Tater Bug!

Taylor, your silly sister forgot do a special birthday post for you on Friday.

But, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY anyway.

I wish I had a better picture but this one always makes me laugh- there you are mowing the lawn, all kicked back and wearing your moccasins.

Grandma Stanford bought Kennedy and Addie matching Sunday dresses. Addie's is pink and Kennedy's is red (so fitting for them). I promised Grandma that she would wear it today to church and I would take a picture and put it on the blog. Well Grandma this one is for you!! Kennedy looked so cute at church and all the ladies commented on how cute she looked.

A Kaleidescope Primary!

Alright, see the oldest black boy? He loves to hold his notes forever in singing time-it is hilarious! Isn't my boy handsome?

Halloween

This Halloween Cooper went as a puppy and Allie as an 80's throw back. Whenever I saw Allie wearing that outfit I felt like I was in the dance scene from Better Off Dead. As for me, Travis, I dressed as a student for Halloween, books, backpack and all.

Hot & Haunted

Brigham and Annie were definately dressed well for Halloween. Annie is a Harley girl (living her mother's dream), and Brig is a head on a platter. The best part --- the cost of the costumes? $0

Best Friends and Cousins
I was just deleting a bunch of pictures and came across a few of Kennedy and Addie together. Those two girls crack me up! A few weeks ago while we were down there, Heather and I got together to let the girls play. Okay, we wanted to play, too. The girls took turns driving the 4-wheeler and it made Heather and I laugh so hard.

Here is Kennedy taking her turn driving.

This made Heather and I laugh so hard. Addie would lean back like they were getting some serious speed.
Top speed of the 4-wheeler: 5 MPH.

Once again, don't be fooled into thinking they are going fast because of the wind in their hair.
It must have been a windy day.

Fire Breather

So Jared put together this fire breathing pumpkin last night and it was a huge hit! People were warming their hands and roasting marshmallows that Jared had brought along. There was really no way to get a great picture of it. It was either too dark and you could only see the flame or too light and all you could see was the pumpkin. But, just to give you an idea...

PS- Halloween pictures of the girls in their costumes will be coming soon. Don't get worried!

YEE HAW

Kennedy was the cutest little Sheriff on the block. She loved to do a fast draw and pull out her gun to show people, I am serious! Not that they appreciated it. But she did get a lot of oohs and awes.

I must say my favorite part were her little white & pink boots. She went all around the street and never had me hold her and did not want me to hold her candy tote. She was a big girl and had a lot of fun with the other girls on the street.

Doug taught her to say yee-haw and she said it all night over and over. It was so funny.
