Graduation Weekend Part II

Now for the party. Ohhh, the party. It was a blast! First of all, Heather deserves big time props for all of her hard work. It would have never turned out as great as it did without her. She has a knack for throwing parties and showers. They are always very classy! Every little detail is always perfect. Thank goodness we have her or things could get interesting. (Javelina head centerpiece anyone? Family joke. Be glad if you don't get it.)

First of all, the food. Seriously yummy!

Second, the company. There were so many good friends and lots of family. These pictures were just after the party started, but by the end of the night I couldn't believe how many people showed up!

I love this picture, it cracks me up. It looks like Mom could be telling them about school. Aunt Bonnie's face is saying "oh Sheila, I am so sorry. Four years of homework and writing papers? How did you survive?" Aunt Becky is saying, "tragic Sheila, seriously tragic!"

And now, the moment we all waited for! Our Dad arranged a Harley Davidson Motorcycle ride for our Mom. She is really into Harley's and loud exhausts. We kept the ride a secret so she would be totally surprised, it was totally worth it! Here's the play by play.

7:00 pm- Sam Jeppson shows up on his Harley. (Which he was proud to tell everyone was a 100th anniversary edition.) He cruised into the backyard and revved it up. Everyone was like "what the heck!?!" Especially Mom!

He gives Mom her gift. A little something from Dad.

I mean, c'mon, what Harley ride would be complete without a real, authentic leather jacket?

Ready for the ride!

And their off!

It was so fun to watch! Mom was so excited!

Now you can't tell me we don't have a cool Mom!

Graduation Weekend Part I

Our Mom did it! She graduated!
With honors, of course. We were all so proud when she walked across the stage.
We screamed and applauded so loud. It was a proud moment for everyone.

Here she is accepting her diploma! Yay!!!

Here are a few pictures from after the ceremony.

Mom and Dad

Don't worry people, there are lots more pictures to share! Like the title says, this is Part I. I'll add more graduation pictures and picutres from the rockin' party we had Saturday night. There's a Harley involved so you won't want to miss this.

The Cemetery

I thought that Mom and Dad would like this cemetery. This video is on the short side of it and it is still enormous! Unfortunately, Elder Ricks and I got stuck in traffic so I didn't get all that I wanted in it. Enjoy!

Crazy pics

SO I found a memory card on the ground while out walking. Sadly it is like 32 megabites. so it doenst hold much. so i decided to take fun pics with it.

Broken Briggy

In 2 weeks Brigham had 2 different casts put on his arm. Which do you like, red or blue? He would like none! He may be getting yet a 3rd cast in another week. Briggy has been a good sport about the whole thing, but it has sure slowed down his fun...no trampoline, no bike riding, not P.E. and no playing at recess. What kind of life is that?

He is hopeful that he will have it off in time for the campout. It all depends on how fast it heals. Thank goodness he didn't break his right arm. If so, he would have to add homework to his list of "no-no's". So for now he still has to take out the garbage, clean his room and do homework!

Book Tag

I know there was a little confussion the last time I posted something in that people thought it was Travis but to make it clear this is Allie.

It is lucky that I just finished reading a book by my favorite author Mary Higgins Clark and then I was going through past post and noticed I had been Book Tagged by Kobie. Like Kobie I am going to bend the rules as well and post the paragraph so that it will make a little more sense.

"...By noon, the search team had left her house, and Elaine went upstairs to her bedroom. As she showered and dressed, her mind raced with the possibilities raised by Peter's arrest. What will happen if Peter goes to prison for the rest of his life? she asked herself. Would he and Kay decide to sell this place? Can they do it while I'm alive? That might violate my prenup, or at the very least they'd have to buy me out."

The book is called, I Heard That Song Before, by Mary Higgins Clark. If you enjoy reading suspense filled mysteries then you should check out her books.

I now tag:
1. Briana
2. Bethany
3. Heather

The Hawaii Chair

A few weeks ago my friend Amber posted about The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She included a link to a clip about the Hawaii Chair. Earlier today Heather and I were talking (suprising, I know) and it came up. We both went to our computers to watch and were laughing so hard! We knew Ben would like it so we decided to share it with everyone. Click here to watch!

What the heck?

Okay, since Kobie posted the "Tagged" posting no one has responded, so I thought I would keep it moving along. Briana, you still have yet to respond, you are next!!

How long have you been together? 8 years this fall, time goes by so fast.

Who said "I Love You" first? Doug, I nearly fell out of my chair. This is the same guy who said he would never get married or have children. Now he is an excellent husband and father.

Who is smarter? Doug has good common sense, I tend to make hasty decisions. But I figure we are both pretty smart people. As my friend Rhonda says we are "old souls". People who cant have a game plan kill me! (Kobie, I still love you)

Who pays the bills? Me, I have tried numerous times to show Doug how to do it in Quickbooks and he wants nothing to do with it. All he cares about is if they get paid.

Who is the most stubborn? Me, hands down. Doug just goes with the flow of things. He never likes to ruffle any feathers.

Who wears the pants in your family? Good match of 50/50 but Doug might say I do :)

Now, 3 random things about me.

1. After getting out of the shower I must do my make-up immediately. I have to get my foundation on before my face is dry I also have to blow dry my hair before I put on my mascara.

2. We never share blankets at night and we year round sleep with our ceiling fan on high. I think I got that from my dad. I like it cold when I sleep.

3. I stinking hate when people touch my head, the wind also makes me mad. If you want me to have a bad day send me out in the wind on the way out rub my head that will do me in for sure.

The NASCAR Yacht Club

This last weekend was the NASCAR Subway Fresh 500 and of course Doug and I had to go! We had loads of fun and I cant help but love the sound of the engines and all the loud goings on. I guess its just in my blood, thanks mom and dad!

Since Doug introduced me to NASCAR racing I have enjoyed going to the races here in Phoenix when the circuit is traveling.
This race was particularly fun because my brother in law Jason and my niece Katelyn were able to join us. Katelyn was such a sport and had a good time. She loved to listen to the scanner and hear what the drivers had to say. She never got up form her seat but twice to get food and a potty break. Now remember races are about four hours long!!
Jason just loves that Katelyn and he can share in the NASCAR experience even if she is a Tony Stewart lover!!
Thanks to Annie and Travis for keeping Kennedy for me ALL day so we could go to the race!!
